CAMPOMORO

The southwest coast between Ajaccio and Bonifacio is considered to be one of the most wild and beautiful parts of Corsica.

The old small fishing harbor of Campomoro, whose name means camp of the Moors, offers a remarkable view of the whole gulf.

Fishing boats and yachts are sheltered in the small bay by the tip of Campo Moro.
Its narrow beach, nestled in a wood of eucalyptus, is looked over by a Genoese tower, built in 1586.

The tower is the largest in Corsica and was restored and classified an historic monument.

The Campomoro site at the edge of one of the most spectacular beaches on the island is a sheltered enclave of private villas (No buildings or resorts)

Campomoro is within the boundaries of one of the longest protected coastlines in France (40 km). There is no road access, and public administration regulations have barred any further construction in this area.

The villa itself is
500 metres from the beach, quiet and peaceful, with an exceptional view of the sea. As Campomoro is a “cul-de-sac”, there is no traffic, thus children can come and go from to the beach safely.

Take a speedboat cruise along the coastline and stop off at one of the many sheltered creeks.

A footpath running the length of the coastline right down to the lighthouse in Senetosa provides opportunities for even the most intrepid walkers. (Trails range from one and a half hour walks to full ten-hour hikes.)

The white sand beach of Campomoro is one-and-a-half kilometres long and completely sheltered from wind and waves.

There is a lifeguard on duty and an area reserved for swimmers.
